Description
This was for me an exercise in drawing with reference, but not copying it. Also a test for me to see if I could draw the beautiful skin of a black woman with my colourpencils, because I usually draw with graphite.I was very happy with how it came out
Not my best in terms of details and lighting, but I like all the different values and the fact I didn't copy the reference pics.
I tried to give her an expression which was a bit mysterious and unreadable, hope that shows
The scanner killed some values and shades, so especially some parts in the headscarf look a bit awkward.
PS: added also a full version!

Excellent work with the color pencils. Her skin is glowing and she looks like she's standing in warm light.
