too much noise in background that seems too much in focus and it results distracting.
Probably a more open aperture can improve it.

Lovely flower,
This would look good as a B&W using the green filter and some adjustments.
Darken the background with selective color.

I liked it But I also agree with Cupcake! I liked the B&W version you have but I would go for a darker tone for the greens.

Beautiful in both versions.
To increase the white, try reducing the black channel in the white using "selective colour". Dont burn it.... :p

Take the B&W and duplicate the layer.
Take that layer and make it a Screen. Back off the fill to about 55 %
Then darken the background again.
To make it even brighter use the selective tool on the white also.
This trick will also work on the color picture.
This will make it look great.
